The European Union has enacted a fresh regulation concerning the usage of products that contain more than 0.1% of monomeric diisocyanates. These recent guidelines are applicable to items such as polyurethane adhesives, sealants, casting resins, coating materials, and others of the like. All impacted products are required to display a corresponding notification for mandatory training on their labels.
The primary aim is to prevent potential skin and respiratory sensitizations caused by diisocyanates through safety training. In accordance with the REACH directive, all commercial and industrial users must complete adequate training by the 24th of August 2023 before they can use such products.
